Holton Youth + Family Center Improvements
We are working on redesigning our Holton location with new up-to-date equipment and technology. The project will cost approximately $15,000 per room for new computers, furniture, games, and entertainment for the kids. The Holton Youth + Family Center is our main location for our Saturday Programs where kids from 4 - 14 come and spend their Saturday learning and being active. We would love this place to be the "go-to" spot for the kids that make them excited to be here. As we work to save for this project we would love your help! COMPUTER LAB
We would like to equip the computer lab with new hardware, software, desks and chairs for a state-of-the art computer lab to meet the needs of children in community who do not have access to this technology at home, and to help them prepare for successful futures. This room will be used to compliment the after-school tutoring initiative, on Saturdays during academic enrichment, and by the members of Operation Work for all types of networking, job-search and academic enterprises.
K4/K5 Room
Furnish the room with age-appropriate interactive toys, books, furniture, and a teacher’s desk for this classroom that engages 4 and 5 year olds for full day programming on Saturdays.
GATHERING AREA
Furnish this main first floor area with couches, chairs, games, and a large screen TV for children of all ages and families. This space will be a multipurpose area and can host anything from movie nights to neighborhood pot-lucks and everything in between.
